We are pleased to announce the availability of FunOS 26.04 LTS (Resolute Raccoon) Snapshot 4.
This snapshot is part of the development cycle toward the final FunOS 26.04 LTS release, bringing updated core components and improvements based on the latest upstream changes from Ubuntu 26.04.
Snapshot releases are intended for testing, evaluation, and development purposes. They help users and developers preview upcoming changes, identify issues early, and provide feedback before the final stable release.
🚀 What’s Included in Snapshot 4
Snapshot 4 includes the latest development updates and package improvements.

⚠️ Known Issue
Ubiquity Cursor Issue in Live Session
When selecting “Try FunOS” (Live Session) and launching the installer from the desktop, the mouse cursor may not visually change (such as showing a spinning indicator) during installation steps.
This behavior occurs due to how Ubiquity interacts with lightweight window managers like JWM.
Please note:
- The installer continues running normally.
- This is only a visual cursor feedback issue.
✅ Recommended Solution
For the best installation experience:
👉 Select “Install FunOS” directly from the boot menu instead of starting the installer from the Live desktop session.

Internet Connection Detection Message in Installer
In some cases, during installation, the “Download updates while installing FunOS” option may display:
“Not available because there is no internet connection”
even though the system is actually connected to the internet.
Important
This is a detection issue only.
The installer is still able to:
- Access the internet
- Run
apt update - Install language packs
- Install additional packages (such as ubuntu-restricted-addons)
The installation process completes successfully.
Workaround
- You may proceed with installation normally.
- If the timezone is not automatically detected, simply select your city manually on the “Where are you?” screen.
This issue does not affect the final installed system.
