FunOS 24.04.1 build 2024-12-28 introduces several updates and improvements, enhancing the user experience:

1. System Updates:
   • All packages updated from the Ubuntu “Noble” repositories as of December 28, 2024.
2. Linux Kernel:
   • Upgraded to version 6.8.0-51 for improved performance and expanded hardware support.
3. Firefox ESR:
   • Updated to version 128.5.2esr for enhanced security and reliability.
4. JWM Configuration Improvements:
   • Optimized configurations to minimize delays when reloading the menu.
5. Default Packages Installed:
   • Essential packages such as curl, apt-transport-https, and libfuse2 are now included by default.
6. Enhanced Font Support:
   • Added font packages like fonts-noto-core and fonts-noto-cjk to the live system, ensuring proper character rendering in Ubiquity during installation.
7. Unused Desktop Entries Removed:
   • Removed unnecessary desktop entry files:
     • Desktop Preferences (/usr/share/applications/pcmanfm-desktop-pref.desktop)
     • TeXInfo (/usr/share/applications/info.desktop)
     • Vim (/usr/share/applications/vim.desktop)
8. New Wallpapers Added:
   • A selection of new wallpapers has been included to enhance desktop customization.
